No! We prefer to begin working on your hair in its natural state, without washing it beforehand. This allows us to have a better understanding of your hair's unique characteristics and how to tackle any challenging areas that may not be immediately apparent on freshly cleaned hair.

To ensure optimal results, we use a tonic in our spraying water that helps remove excess oils and products, leaving your hair primed for the haircut. This technique allows us to allocate extra time to refine your haircut even further, resulting in a superior quality cut.

Unfortunately, unlike in other provinces and countries where the barbering industry is heavily regulated due to the use of sharp objects and the potential risk of injury, as well as the transmission of various diseases such as STDs, AIDS, hepatitis, and skin and hair-related fungal infections, the province of Quebec lacks specific regulations governing the barbershop industry. There is no governing body overseeing the adherence to sanitation and safety practices.

At our barbershop, we have taken it upon ourselves to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safety. We have implemented a rigorous training program based on a comprehensive two-year curriculum commonly followed in the United States.

Additionally, we have a team member who is not only trained and licensed in another Canadian province with mandatory regulations and training but also ensures that all our employees adhere to the best sanitation, safety, and best practices guidelines.

We use Crown Shaving products in all our shaving services. These are manufactured in small batches in Canada, and are meticulously formulated to provide an optimal shaving experience.

They feature a neutral and refreshing scent that isn't irritating to any skin type.

Our comprehensive shaving regimen includes a pre-shave glide, followed by multiple layers of eucalyptus and tea tree scented lather, and finished with a soothing, moisturizing aftershave balm.

For those who appreciate a final touch, we add a spritz of our popular fragrant aftershave.

We also exclusively use Japanese surgical blades for our full face or head shave services. Although these blades come with a hefty price point - over ten times more expensive than commonly used snap razor blades - they enable us to perform a more precise and detailed service while keeping skin irritation to a minimum.ll!

The hot towel service is the hallmark of a classic barbershop experience. Whether performing a straight blade finish during a beard service, a full shave, or a head shave, meticulous preparation is essential to relax and soften the skin. We start by applying a selection of premium pre-shave, shave, and aftershave products. Then, we envelop the area to be shaved with a steaming hot towel. This process is repeated until the skin is ideally prepped, allowing for the smoothest shave possible with minimal irritation.

This method not only opens your pores and softens your whiskers, but also provides a moment of relaxation. It's an invitation to unwind while your skin is prepared for the smoothest shave you've ever experienced.

While we take great pride in our ability to provide top-notch service to a wide range of clients, we believe that children require a particular level of attention that specialized kids' salons are better equipped to offer.

Although we do occasionally cater to children of our regular customers and friends, we no longer provide a specific service or pricing for kids.

We recommend that if you're considering booking a service for anyone under the age of 12, please consult with your barber or contact our shop directly. We're always here to help guide you to the best possible service for your child's needs.
