A shop that was built to last, not to trend.

We opened on Wellington Street in Verdun in 2020 — worst possible timing, right? We built it anyway. Dillinger's is a barbershop, a retail boutique, and a café under one roof. It's loud on some days and quiet on others. It's exactly what a neighborhood spot should be.

No franchise. No corporate playbook. Just a team of people who take the craft seriously and a room that shows it.

CRAFT First

Every service is built on technique, not speed. We don't rush because we don't need to.

REAL EDUCATION

We explain what we're doing and why. You leave knowing more than when you came in.

The Neighborhood

Verdun-born, Verdun-built. This shop exists because of the people on this street.

NO B.S

We'll tell you what your hair needs honestly — even if it's not what you wanted to hear.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff that know their stuff. Great conversation and answered all my questions about hair and beard care. Didn't feel like I was just a number.

I was 15 minutes late and they took someone else. They called multiple times but I didn't answer or let them know — and now I'm leaving a 1 star review.

Cory took his time, asked the right questions, and gave me a haircut that actually fits my face. The fact that there's a café right there is just a bonus.

Jean-Benoit is a master of his craft. Cory too. Great boutique on site and a café with plenty of options. Don't hesitate — just go.

A+ service in the shop. They asked the right questions to find the right product — didn't just sell me something. Their product line is the best I've used in a long time.

Had an excellent experience with Sébastien. It didn’t feel like “just a haircut”, it was genuinely personalized service. He quickly suggested a style that fit my preferences and facial features, and the result was exactly what I was looking for. The flat white was a great touch, too. You’ve definitely gained a loyal customer. Merci!

FAQ

COMMON QUESTIONS.

We get asked the same things a lot. Here are the real answers — no fluff.

Because barbers aren't all at the same stage — and it's only honest to reflect that. A Level 1 barber is fully trained and capable. A Level 3 has years of additional experience, faster execution, and a wider technical range. You pick what makes sense for your hair and your budget.

Yes, we do! However, booking ahead ensures you get your preferred time slot.

Haircuts, beard trims, hot towel shaves, and grooming consultations. Check our services page for the full list.

Quebec doesn't have a governing body that certifies barbershops the way other provinces do. We're aware of that gap — and we take it seriously. Every barber here is held to strict hygiene and sanitation standards. We set the bar ourselves because no one else does.

No, and it's intentional. We prefer to start with your hair in its natural state — it shows us how it actually behaves on a regular day. Wet hair hides a lot of things that matter for a good cut.

Crown Shaving products — small batch, made in Canada, genuinely good formulas. Pre-shave glide, eucalyptus and tea tree lather, moisturizing aftershave balm. Japanese surgical blades for all straight-razor work. Costs us more, feels better, causes less irritation. Not negotiable.

Occasionally for regulars' kids — but we don't have kid-specific services or pricing. Under 12? Call us first. We'll tell you honestly if we're the right fit for your situation.

Indeed, we know our services aren't for everyone — and that's fine. We take pride in what makes us different and we won't compromise on quality, safety, or sanitation. We're not a hair factory and we never will be. Our staff are paid decent wages, receive benefits, and we declare all our revenue — which is unfortunately not common enough in this industry.
